Meet our summer 2022 camp director, Sarah Hashem! Sarah Hashem is thrilled to be working with the Hackma-Campers again! In the past, she has music directed the Hackmatack’s Children’s Camp, and worked as a costumer and counselor for Camp Centerstage! As a woodwind musician, Sarah has performed in orchestra pits for: The Rochester Opera House, Hackmatack Playhouse, Prescott Park Arts Festival, Biddeford City Theater, Stages Youth Theater, Seacoast Repertory Theater, the University of Southern Maine, and various middle and high schools. In fifth grade, she found a passion for theater while performing in her church’s Christmas play, and later carried on to study music education at USM, where she had the opportunity to study woodwind instruments, piano, and voice (classical and musical theater). Sarah currently teaches K-2nd general music in Saco, Maine, and is looking forward to a Summer of theater, music, and fun!
Sarah Corrow is a theatre artist and educator from Durham, New Hampshire. She is the daughter of two Army officers, and has moved seven times! Sarah first got into theatre in Elementary school when I was living in Germany. She attended theatre camp herself for 8 years!! Sarah is a recent graduate from UNH, earning my bachelors degree in Musical Theatre. During her time at UNH, she performed in a variety of different shows like; Bright Star, Shrek, If/Then, Spring Awakening, and Heathers. During the summer of 2019, Sarah had the pleasure of performing at Prescott Park Arts Festival in their production of Beauty and the Beast. This summer is her 7th year Directing and Choreographing musical theatre camps/programs. Her favorite summer activity is going swimming at the beach and getting ice cream! Sarah can’t wait to hear about your favorite summer activities, and she is so excited to experience the magic of Neverland with you all.
is a rising senior at Marshwood High School. He has been performing on the Seacoast for the past nine years in both High School, and professional productions. His favorite roles include: Ensemble in Beauty and the Beast, Seussical the Musical and Mary Poppins at Prescott Park Arts Festival; Mr. Banks in Mary Poppins, Crutchie in Newsies, Chef Louis in The Little Mermaid, and James in James and the Giant Peach at MHS. Tucker is a high honors student, plays on MHS varsity tennis team, a photographer and cinematographer, a 1st Degree Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do, and a Camp Counselor at Hackmatack playhouse day camp. He looks forward to working with the campers, and helping them put on a fun and fantastic production!
Jamie Marquis is a recent graduate from Noble High School and is super excited to be a camp counselor at Hackmatack this summer! In the fall, Jamie will be attending UNH to major in education with a minor in theatre. She has been involved with the theatre department within the Noble district for the past 8 years! Another one of Jamie’s passions includes dance. She has been dancing at Brixham Danceworks for the past 12 years and is so thankful for the opportunities that she was offered there. Some of which include, being a part of the Brixham Repertory Company, being a teacher assistant and a camp counselor. During the summer, Jamie is excited to be hanging out by the pool and spending time with friends and family!
