The Hackmatack property is a wonderful place to host your next private event. From weddings to work conferences, baby showers to birthdays, our versatile indoor and outdoor space allows for a large range of possibilities for your event.
A PICTURESQUE
WEDDING VENUE
Weddings at Hackmatack are an especially memorable and cherished time. Charming and historic, a ceremony in the rustic barn or nestled among one of our many hilly fields can be a serene setting for your special day. Our picturesque barns coupled with our gently rolling hills provide a breathtaking background as our bison graze peacefully in the pasture.
You may choose to have a reception inside a rustic 1800s-era barn with exposed wooden beams, under a tent watching an amber sunset, or under the bright stars of an early summer night.
Our property hosts a number of possibilities with indoor and outdoor event space:
200+ capacity playhouse barn with an elevated stage
50+ capacity historic woodshed barn
Pondside grass with a scenic view
Space for a canopy tent with pasture view
Outside cocktail reception area with large open-air porch
Secluded 'secret' wooded area

Our staff and grounds are flexible to help meet the needs of your event, customized to your taste, style, and budget. Our theater’s dressing rooms transform into a handy and unique place to get ready with your bridal party, and we provide plenty of space for guest parking as our venue can accommodate more than 200 guests inside our barn.
There’s access to outside electrical outlets and extension cords to best serve your needs for lighting, sound, or catering access. While we currently don’t offer in-house catering, we have spacious areas to store and serve your food, as well as ample space for caterers to set up, prepare, and cater efficiently.
During the months of May, June, September, and October, Hackmatack can dedicate a full weekend for each wedding, allowing for ease of mind as you set up, celebrate, and break down the event. We’re also happy to consider weddings and other private events during other times of the year as well.

Hackmatack was a fun and low-key place to hold a party for my brother’s graduation from grad school! The venue was great and easy to work with. We had a band set up on the barn’s porch and after the sunset, we had a little campfire. The best part was that we could return the next morning to finish cleaning up, so we didn’t feel rushed that night.

I needed an affordable and convenient place to hold my high school reunion—Hackmatack turned out to be an excellent spot for us all to gather and reminisce. We brought our own grilling supplies and set up a BBQ station on their grassy lawn, overlooking the buffalo. One of the owners happened to swing by during our event and gave us an impromptu tour down to their pig and goat pasture, which was a highlight of the reunion.
